Lofou Village is located 26 kilometres northwest of Limassol in the geographical district of the Wine villages of Limassol and it’s built amphitheatrically surrounded by mountains.
Furthermore Lofou is connected with nearby villages by asphalted lanes. It is connected with ‘Pera Pedi’ village in the north (at a distance of 6.5 km) and from the southwest with ‘Saint Therapon’ village (at a distance of 4.5 km). In the southeast it used to be connected with ‘Alassa’ village and in the east side is connected with the villages of ‘Sylikou’, ‘Monagri’ and ‘Doros’.
The village takes its name from its position on top of a hill (‘lofos’), and has retained its name since Byzantine times. It is renowned for its pretty, old architecture, and the many winding, cobbled streets.
The leafy environs of this picturesque and traditional village are home to grapevines and almond trees, offering agrotourism in tranquil and scenic surroundings.
